This weeks list
Monday - Miles' Music class / Miles' private swim class at home / Miles' hair cut.
Tuesday - Work / nanny for kids
Wednesday - Playgorup back!
thursday - work / day care for kids
friday - Work / Nanny for Greta & Miles' 1st day at Pre School!
Wow what a great weekend. Stayed home and had BBQ's and swimming in the pool. Really enjoyed it, its cheap and simple but such fun - who'd have thought a simple thing like a pool would be so great, but we use it practically every day and have done since September time.. so great.
Greta is having a nap - wow her tantrums are amazing, head bashing on the floor - throwing things, Miles' were and are nothing like that. Jonathan says when we had Miles we got the child for beginers, easy to look after, nice and calm and neat and tidy - now we have the intermediate child - personally i think we have the advanced level child with Greta lol.
Anyway finally sorted the parents accomodation - i think, after having trouble with the place we wanted to put them in saying they could accomodate them then they coldnt then they could again - anyway i THINK we have sorted it now - fingers crossed.
Miles' first day at pre school on Friday, he is going once a week on a Friday. Going with his friend... hopefully be ok there.
Also been talking about doing respite care for kids - we've been thinking about doing fostering for a while - anyway thats a whole other post, just thought id mention it here so it reminds me to do another post about it..
Well best get on and get ready for Miles music class - hmmm bit of a trend here, Miles does so many classes and poor Greta none! i do plan on her starting dance classes around this time next yr when she is 2 and a bit.

Happy Australia day!!
...ok so i know it was yesterday but was too busy to post yesterday.
We had all these plans to go to our local shire celbrations like we have been doing for the past 8yrs since we moved here - but well, due to the heat.. usually if we get too hot out there we can just come back home and hide in out aircon, but we don't have air con in the new house - and since we did renovations and over spent by ALOT! we cant afford to put it in - the plan was to do ducted - and thats what we want to do but are just saving up for it now - its such a big house it would take so many units to cool it, so really wanted to do it properly and do ducted.. just got to wait till we can afford to do it!
Anyway i got up and decided to start having a sort out of the kids rooms and before i know it, i was in full on spring clean - in the heart of summer - with no air con.. yes i have gone slightly insane!
So after that i was so hot - decided to take the kids up the local shops to get some BBQ stuff from the butchers - and when i got there it was so lovely and cool, we ended up staying and going to the playcentre they have there - kids had a ball.. Greta is so good for Miles in that she wonders off to play and it makes Miles stray further as he has her as his crutch sort of thing so isnt limited to the places i can fit in with him. So he went on the bouncing castle for the first time EVER - usually he wont go on cos i cant get on and its too far away from me, even if i sit on the edge of it - but i turned around and Greta is on it! She had climbed up a slide one of the other kids had pushed near it and got on!! she's crazy.. so Miles went on it :)
Also the went in the cubby house, and i sat over in the corner on the couch - AHhhhhhhh HEAVEN!
SO then we decided we best get back and hang out with Jonathan as we'd left him home alone and only meant to pop up to the butchers - but he had vac'd the enture house - including the playroom which he hates to do and mopped it too.. and was relaxing in the pool!
So we all jumped in the pool while Jonathan jumped out and got the BBQ going - yes we had been that long it was dinner time!
Had a great BBQ and a couple of beers - well 1 beer, well Jonathan not me, neither of us drink much.
Read Miles a story and off to bed for them both.
Perfect day :) totally not what we had planned, but sometimes it works better when you go with the flow..
Oh Greta woke up a few times as she was so hot - so adjusted the fan in her room and she was ok, then she woke cos Miles woke and started screming, so i rushed into him and he was so so hot and just wanted a drink of water he said - so got him some and brought him into our room as we have the ceiling fan.. and he nodded back off, but Greta woke up with his screaming/cos she was hot and ended up in bed with me for half an hour or so till i took her back to her cot... 2 in the bed is a bit much for anyone! They fight like cat and dog, ALLWAYS hiting and nipping and pulling each others hair - they're worse than 2 boys a swear.. so anyway thats how we all slept.
Cant complain cos they have been both sleeping 12hrs straight since they were a few weeks old, so the odd wake up in the night here and there isnt too bad - well pretty rare really.. but man was in hot - was tossing and turning so no wonder they were waking up too.
Anyway dropped them off at day care this morning and they were both happy as larry - whoever he is - to be there so all good.. Even Miles who i worry about dropping off there, he was quite happy with a litle friend there and 2 of the teachers (hes in the pre shcool room) pandering to him and getting him toast and milk...he LOVES attention.
Greta is always fine, anywhere.
thats all.
3 weeks today till the parents arrive :)

Such a crappy day today...
... im pretty sure the heat made it worse.
Took Miles to see a Dr about his extreme seperation issues and his inability to cope in a group situation and the good news is that it seems its more me that has the issue that him! Because i realyl struggled with this as a child and adult, and shyness too. Miles has inherited a little of my inability to speak much in groups and extreme clingyness (if thats even a word) but not my shyness, he isnt shy at all.
Anyway the verdict was that he will probably never be the loudest kin in a group but he will adapt and be fine and its mainly me that panders to him and babies him as i had such a hard time of it when i was young and still do now that im trying to desperately do anything i can to make sure he doesnt struggle with it as i do but the reality is that he is nowhere near as bad as me, so the best thing to do is just to stop stressing as im pushing my stress onto him. Yeah, as i said he will never be the loudest in a group, and he is a clingy child, but he isnt me and im stressing so much and trying to stop him struggling as i did/do and am ending up making him worse when he isnt even that bad to start with !
So that was good - ill just try and leave him to make friends himself and not stress about it - also she thought that he played me like a fiddle as i stress so much he will feel lonely or anxious - again, my feelings not his! So he knows if he whines to me or if he says he wants to sit on my knee or whatever then it promotes some reaction on me and i just pander to him - cos of my feelings from when i was a child, and even now to some extent - hmmm guess we are all broken in some way! Anyway he is fine, its mainly me thats desperately trying to compensate for the way i am by making sure he isnt like me, but then he isnt like me i just dont see it ..
Other than that, miles pooped on the floor in JB-Hifi! he then poured nail polish remover all over our rather expensive lounge in the parents snug..... not even meant to be in that room - im sure i would have handled it better but cos i was so so hot and im really struggling with this heat at the moment, i lost my temper and snapped at him. Hate myself for shoulting at him, he is such a sensitive little fellow - God this Motherhood things is so hard sometimes.. im just realyl really struggling with the heat with 2 very clingy kids, i just want to sit down and not be touched and of course they each want me to carry them around and play with them and get them snaks and drinks and thats all perfectly normal but i do have particualrly clingy intense kids who need lots and lots of attention, which is good to know is perfectly normal just hard bloody work - and normalyl im used to it but with this heat ive struggled so much today.
Miles has had 2 time outs on his bed.. then he asked to go to bed at 5.50pm. So i took him but Greta wasnt ready yet so tried to do the story with her crawling around on the floor, she kept screaming cos she wanted to be held (as she has ALL day - well EVERY day really lol) and of course Miles wants one on one time as its his bedtime story so had to sort of shout over her to read.. then she started switching his lamp on and off so i said Greta NO and of course she isnt used to being todl off so she sobbed - oh the joys!
Anyway a tough day, that would have been ok but made so much worse by this awful heat - i just cant cope with it at present.
Quite happy its work tomorrow!

Fantastic weekend!
And all we did was stay home and hang out by and in the pool. But it was such fun.
Kids had a sleep in this morning, didn't wake till 8am! Winner - well i woke up to this crunching sound and found Miles sat between the pair of us, he had got up, been in the kitchen and helped himself to soem rice cakes and picked up his wiggles toys and was sat in the middle of us playing with them and eating his rice cakes - just as i was stiring he jumped up and trotted off to the kitchen and came back with a bottle of milk from the fridge and a cup for him and himself and announced Greta was awake - this was 8am so we had a lovely sleep in :)
got up and baked a couple of cakes and cupcakes and an apple crumble. Then of course had a BBQ for dinner - i have grown my own cucumbers, tomatoes, onions and carrots this year - oh and strawberries too - they were so so yummy :) A little anemic looking but tasted so goo.
Spent all weekend round the pool and swimming - i LOVE having our own pool :)
Also popped over to Ikea to return a couple of things i had bought and changed my mind about and pick up a couple of little things - oh and meatballs of course :)
So here are a couple of our great weekend:

Cat Fight
Literally, in my dining room under the table at 5am - another cat from one of the neightbours houses had come into the house - jonathan had gone to bed last and left the door open! Anyway i was woken to cats screaming at each other - so came out to see what was going and on the neighbours cat went running off out the front door and Amber (our cat) was under the dining table. Tried to get her to come out but she was quite shaken, which i was shocked by, i know she is a girl and is petite but man is she a scrapper! We have moved house with her 3 times now and every time she has become top cat in every house and area, taking over the teritory .. so to see another cat in her house and teritory was a bit of a shock. Think it had been a close fought battle which is unusual for her - she usually wins hand down.. mind you he is double her size!
Then i saw blood on the floor! After a magor panic and a very close inspeciton of Amber i conclude that its the other cats bllod as there isnt a scrath on Amber - also lots of whilte fur and Greta is ginger.
So a broken nights sleep... so went back to bed and kids didnt wake till 8am :)
