had a cat that's bern hanging round our (and a could neighbours') house for weeks now, comes in through the cat flap and eating Ambers food, doesn't seem to have a home. So anyway, took into the vets this morning and there is a microchip but it's never been registered to an address, do idea where it lives. It's a pure bread rag doll which are expensive and only 3 or so yrs old.
Anyway, vet is going to ring round local vets and try find its home.
In other news, getting on with a few bits I needed to get done. Cleaned the car, just needs a vac which won't get done be I'm afraid.
Bought miles a new back pack for the plane and Greta a colouring book.
Had miles' graduation ceremony and oh my, what a ceremony! Mayor of the hills was there, MP Phillip Ruddock attended and many other's.. Very impressed.
Had my endo check up and all clear 😀😀 18 months cancer free now. Dropping back to 6 monthly tests now. Do next due to go in June next year.
Just got my hair appointment and miles' OT appointment and we're good to go!
2 days to go!

We'll be in England next week!
4 days to go until we fly out of the country!
And I keep thinking to myself "next week we will be in England" sounds so weird as we've not been back for 5 yrs. Greta was just a baby last time and Miles just 2.
We will have a week in Thailand, Sweden & Finland before arriving in the UK.
I kind of just want to get there now but I know I'll enjoy the snow and Lapland with the kids, especially the reindeer rides and sled rides.
But another part of me just wants to get to england asap.. I have 5 weeks there though so will be great,
After the last 2 weeks dragging, this week is flying, which is great.. Just have lots of little bits and bobs to do, doesn't matter if we don't get them done.. But hopefully I'll grtthe chance to put the washing away and clean out /empty the fridge before we go.
Anyway, will be on our way before you know it.
Seems odd as I've not bought a single gift, nor put up a decoration, but no point as we won't be her. I've made a list of gifts to buy over there for Christmas pressies,
This yr miles is getting:
Monopoly empire
Game of life
Downfall
Electric toothbrush
Greta is getting;
Fur-real monkey
Elsa on skates
A barbie
Electric toothbrush
J wants 2 x shirts
I've asked for slippers
Mum & dad:
Joking gifts with my sister
Nana soaps
Nephews
$$
Greta had her ballet concert on Sunday, was good, she loved it but way too late, and we left at the interval!
Miles' graduation to go to on Wednesday - my day off, going to get my hair cut too and my Endo appointment.
Thursday is work Xmas lunch so hoping to leave after that around 2pm and miles' ot appointment and we'll pop to the towers for a couple bits I want to buy.
Then Friday im off to a meeting in warriewood, before leaving at 3.30 and heading home to finish the packing...
😀😀😀😀

1 week tomorrow!!!
It's a week tomorrow until we leave for our 6 week trip to Europe and honestly, I just can't be bothered.. Kids have had a vomit virus, j is off sick today, I've not been 100% although s state of mind is most likely responsible for 80% of that!
But I just want to get going now... It's so close now and its 5 years since I've been back home, I just want to get going!
Struggling with day to day things, all seems so tedious when this awesome trip is so close..
A few things to look forward to though to keep us occupied.
They've all come in this last week though so rather than packing I'm rushed off my feet!
We have Greta's bsllet rehearsal and concert, a birthday party, a yr 1 graduation ceremony, Drs (endo) visit for me, usual swimming and piano and ballet classes, and my hair appointment.
Plus need to get the packing sorted.
Oh and miles' ot session.
I'm working until 4pm next Friday and then wang to go get dinner out as I don't want to start doing dishes etc the night before we fly out.. Run leave home at 8am sat morning to fly to Thailand!
Got the cat sorted, a neighbour will come feed her and pick up post and house sit.
Just 8 days to go! 4 working days left... Arghhhh hurry up already!

The countdown is on
A fair few things we're counting down to at the moment:
Next week is Greta's pre school graduation.
The following week is Miles' graduation.
That weekend is Greta's ballet concert - still need to buy tickets for that.
Miles had his piano concert last weekend. It was really good. His teacher sang, it was probably the best one I've been to, free too which was a bonus!
And finally, the big countdown...our holiday!! 6 weeks in Europe!
2 weeks and 2 days (and 2 hours) till we leave, and it seems like we have so much to do before we go, all the above plus my Endo appointment and Miles' OT appointment (to improve his muscle tone in his hand to help him write better).
But it seems also like it's dragging so much.... It went so fast at first, it was 6 months to go from when we first started looking into it and thinking about it, then suddenly it was less than a month to go, but the last couple weeks are dragging.
Always the way!
Anyway, a few things to look forward to before hand. I've booked my hair appointment in too.. Miles has had his cut so he's good to go.
I bought Greta a school blazer the other day. Just got to sew in name rages, might do that this weekend.
Also she has been given 3 school dresses by another mum so that's fantastic!
So don't need to buy her anything as she obviously already has her sports uniforms and rain coat and bag and art smock and hat etc etc.
Will need to get both kids new clarkes shoes and sneakers..
Anyway out itinerary for our trip looks something like:
Leave Sydney on the 13th dec, fly (via Jakarta) to Thailand for 2 days.
Leave Thailand and fly to Sweden, 2 days there then train to Finland, to Lapland.
2 days in Lapland then fly into UK.
Stay a week in Sheffield and have Christmas with my folks and Boxing Day with J's.
After a week drive to London, 1 night in London to see the sights then boat over to France, have a couple days in Paris then head to Disney land to meet my mum and sister and have 2 days there.
Leave Paris and go back to England.
J is then going to fly off to Scotland to see his old uni mate for a night and then fly off to Caymen with his brother from there to visit their uncle and cousin who work over there.
Before e returns to Sydney a week after leaving us.
Me; I'm off to stay with my parents with the kids for the next 2.5 weeks!
I have a few day trips planned like stone henge and lego land etc.. Props pig land is closed 😔 but we will still find fun stuff to do. Plus they'll be with their grandparents who they haven't seend for 2.5 years.
Finally I gly back here, either via Germany, Poland or LA, still to be booked.
Also waiting to find out what happens with my job. Been at Sydney water for 5 months now (came on a 3 month contract) been extended once and due to finish mid jan while I'm awsy, so will need to find out if it's extended again and if I can come back in jan when I return,
I really hope so, I love working here. Work is good and it's part time, be good to have a day off (Wednesday) next year. Currently I gave Greta home with me, which I love but if I'm home alone next year I can do housework and we can cut back on the cleaner.. J hates me being here as it pays about half what I earned at cochlear.. But it's less hours, less stress. I really enjoy I and feel I'm a real part of the team.. Anyway, will see.., if it's not extended I'll look for a 6 month contract for next year instead. Then take the rest of the year off. Not too stressed, but job hunting is a pain!
I'll add a couple pics of us all later, A bit more up to date.

Miles' whale painting
He's been bringing home his art work. Brought this home yesterday. I think it's fantastic, for a little 6 year old.
Anyway, need to think of a way to display it now....
